Information
A small farmhouse with cows, a cat, and a dog. Lots of fences to keep the cows from escaping ;-). It is modular, allowing the position of the fences and animals to be adjusted as desired. As a gimmick, a pitchfork is included.

Crafted from 3-mm Plywood

1. Prepare the Laser Cutter:

  • Load the 3mm Maple Plywood into your laser cutter.
  • Open the design file in Creative Space Software and ensure the layout fits within the material boundaries.
  • Secure the plywood to the laser bed to prevent movement during cutting.
  • Swap the tray to the honeycomb tray or add raiser under the 3mm Plywood
  • (Optional) Use some tape to hold down the board if needed.
  • Enable the output

2. Set Cutting Parameters:

  • Adjust the laser focus height and define the cutting boundaries according to your material and machine specifications.
  • Double-check settings to ensure clean cuts.

3. Run the File:

  • Begin the cutting process.
  • Monitor the process to ensure accuracy.

Step3: Paint (Optional)

If you want, you can paint the base plate with green acrylic paint as shown in the picture. A bit rough and uneven, but this gives a good impression of grass.

You can achieve this by first painting everything with a sponge or brush, and then dabbing and brushing in a crisscross pattern.

I recommend using water-based acrylic paints.

Step4: Glue the base

I had the best experience when gluing everything together by following these steps:

  1. First, loosely place the two large plates (front plate and back plate) along with the side panels and plenty of glue onto the base plate, as shown in the picture.
  2. Fill the gaps between the tabs with glue, then press everything together. Let it dry well.

This way, the basic frame will already be assembled, and next, you can move on to the roof.

Step5: Glue the roof

Next, take the four pieces as shown in the picture and start gluing the roof on one side.

  1. Take a large roof piece and glue it into the designated slots with enough wood glue.
  2. Then, place a smaller roof piece on top, again using enough glue.
  3. Repeat this process for the other side of your house.

Step6: Attach the fences

Take all six fences and then glue them into the designated slots. The fence with the cat can be placed wherever you like.

Step7: Let the animals move in!

Place the animals with a bit of glue in the positions you like, or skip the glue so you can reposition them whenever you want. You can place the pitchfork near the house, in the designated hole. Done =)
