For pet lovers, this coat rack is an essential adquisition. Give your dog a special place and keep his belts and accessories close at hand.
We must create the composition of our design, for this we select the images that we will use, if they have good resolution we will obtain a good result, we use the editor program of choice to eliminate backgrounds and unnecessary elements, then we convert our images to a solid color to later facilitate tracing and vectorization of the silhouette
At this point we can access xtool and import the images that we edited previously, we will use the image trace function, which will allow us to obtain a vector of the external silhouette of our images, these vectors, unlike the image, can be scaled to any size without deformation
We can now join vectors and shape our composition. At this moment we must play with our creativity and take care of the aesthetics and symmetry of the design, trying different variants until we achieve the desired result. Once we have the base we can incorporate new layers and elements
Image 1: we select two vectors to unify them with the combine/unite tool.
Image 2: once merged we have the basis of the project.
Image 3: we add text and the image that we previously edited, on the right side of the xtool interface you can see several options with which you can apply filters and play with contrast to get the most out of your image.
You can always use glue, but we want to dispense with its use as much as possible, for that we are going to take advantage of the precision of our laser machine using these small dog-shaped pieces to provide aesthetics and three-dimensionality, while using them support and will fulfill the hook function of our coat rack, this is perhaps the most complex piece of the design so you should take these considerations:
1. Depending on the thickness of your work material, you will have to adjust the number of "dogs" for each slot, that is:
The slot measures 12mm wide, with an extra 0.3mm margin to allow pieces to snap in and tight enough to hold pieces together.
If your wood measures 3mm you will need 4 "dogs" per slot.
If, on the other hand, your material is 2mm thick, it will be necessary to place 6 dogs per slot to cover the 12mm width of the slot.
