Summary
A friend asked me to make her an ornament for her daughter and son-in-law with interlocking hearts. After many attempts, I used 4 hearts to create this. It is multi-layered basswood. The dates and names were added using the text feature of XCS, and the boxes were curved to fit the heart. That is one of my favorite features of the XCS software. Once the materials were cut and etched, I stained them, let them dry then glued them together using spray adhesive. I added all the picture I took during the process to show the steps and how I had it set up.

Material used

There are pictures of the types of stain that I used for this project. The only thing I have not added yet is the hanging method, she has not told me if she wants it to be hung with ribbon through holes in the ornament or tiny eye bolts.
