Step1: Design

  • Create your text
    • Also you can also get creative here and adding a name!
  • Once you have your text create an offset around the text.
    • once you pick a good distance with everything still selected click on “release compound” at the top toolbar
    • you want to delete all the inner pieces. You only want to keep the outside outline of the shape.
  • Create a copy of the offset and paste it off to the side
  • Select one of the outlines and reflect it horizontally
  • Selected both the objects and align them vertically center
  • Create a small box and place it over the two objects so that its overlapping both outlines. As shown in photo 6.
  • Select all three objects and weld them together

  • Depending on your machine and the cardstock you use you may need to adjust your settings. 
  • I don't know the weight of this card stock but it on the lighter side and for my M1 20 watt I used the above settings.
  • The score function will cut the cardstock with the correct settings.

  • Grab your glue of choice. I recommend Bearly-Art Precision Craft Glue.
    • This can be found on amazon.
  • Glue your project together as shown in fourth photo.
    • i used some craft tweezers to help place the letters on my card.
