Customizable picture frame. Use the template either as is - or customize it easily with your own date/names/places and icons.
Open the “.xcs” file in xTool Creative Space. There are three workspace you can select from
They are all set for two pictures with dimensions `10x13 cm` cut with an angle on either side.
If you want to have a customized the dates/words, you may use the “Shapes” canvas to do so.
Just type in whatever you want to have written (maybe adjust the size) and klick on “Outline”. A window will popup — as a reference, I used 4mm here.
Once the outline had been created, make sure to remove any dent's into the picture area, so there is a visible overlap with the newly created outline and the raw-border.
To have a continuous cut later, you now have to unite the two shapes. To do so, you may open the layer panel and select both layers before going to the top edit bar and click on the “unite” button.
Select the correct workspace and adjust your cutting settings based on the material used.
For my 20W M1 Ultra in combination with 4mm poplar plywood, I used a power setting of 85 and a speed of 5 for cutting.
Material
Place the pictures inside the frame and glue all pieces together so they won't fall out.
To be able to interchange the pictures easily you can also add another border in between with a cutout on top.
Material
Place the picture inside the frame - the laser engraved part is to have the picture perfectly fit between the sheets.
Glue the two pieces together and let it dry over night. Afterwards you can hang it on the wall - hopefully next to some more - to get a glance over the year in one go.
Enjoy! :)
