This was a raster image I enhanced, ran through photoshop to adjust levels, brightness and contrast. Engraving is 10"x10" and lattice on top of engraving is also 10"x10". Your on your own with the frame ;) but I did include a step 3 but you are going to need some tools. I used some salvaged redwood. Frame is 12" x 12".
Make sure to make a 10" x 10" square that sits on top of 10" x 10" engraving png file. Set that to CUT (I do this at 100% at 20 mm/s because sometimes there is excess glue in baltic birch and I want a through cut).
On back of plywood, use double sided tape so it can be adhered to the top of the engraving. Glue will also work but very hard to not have any glue squeeze-out. Double sided tape is the shit.
Frame. This step is not laser cutting but important. This frame is made of red wood and measures 12" x 12".
I ripped down some salvaged old growth redwood into 0.5" by 1.25" pieces.
I cut that down into (4) 12.5" pieces.
Both the engraving and the lattice frame are both cut from 0.125" plywood. So I rabbited out a 0.25" x 0.5" notch on the back side of each piece before cutting 45º angles on both ends. From toe to toe of each side of the frame is 12".
I glued the engraving to the frame using super glue and wood glue.
I cut backer board into a 11.75" square and adhered to the back of the frame before adding hanging hardware.
