Wooden Coaster with Sci-Fi Quote

Cover the entire wood surface with painters tape or paper masking tape.

Smooth with a card or brayer to remove bubbles or creases. This ensures clean edges and prevents scorching.

Import file in XCS.

If desired, resize graphic to fit the size of wood being cut.

Once desired size is set, proceed to next step.

Place masked wood on laser bed.

Focus lens. Press Framing to ensure proper cutting location.

If satisfied, press Process to send to laser.

Remove masking from completed cutout. 

Tip: Use tweezers or double-sided tape, if masking is hard to remove.

At this point, you may want to add stain or paint to enhance your cutting.
