I shared this on an official XTool page and it got some attention, so I thought I would share. Searched a national home improvement store for the mini tool boxes and could not find one single tool box, so I made my own. It is a VERY tight fit, but does go together. I still put a couple dots of glue for safe keeping. The boxes were designed by a website after entering desired dimensions.
After all the pieces were cut, I lightly sanded everything and assembled (The individual pieces, in the SVGs, are labeled top, bottom, side, etc. to aid in assembly.)
The top box measures 250mm x 150mm x 25mm. (approx. 10in x 6in x 1in).
The middle box measures 250mm x 150mm x 50mm. (approx. 10in x 6in x 2in).
The bottom box measures 250mm x 150mm x 75mm. (approx. 10in x 6in x 3in).
I used a total of (6) 12x12 sheets of basswood.
Starting with the bottom, attach the front, back and right pieces. Prior to attaching the left piece, insert one end of the hinge (with tabs sticking up) into the hole in the right piece. Now attach the left piece, assuring the other end of the hinge goes through the hole in the left side. Now attach the top to the tabs of the hinge.
Again, the individual pieces are labeled to aid in assembly.
To assemble the drawer portion: These pieces are labeled with INBOX.
Start with the bottom and attach the 4 walls according to length. The piece with the curved cutout is the front of the drawer.
Now assemble the box for the drawer: These pieces are labeled with OUTBOX.
Start with the bottom and attach the 3 walls according to length, leaving one end open. Now attach the top piece to form a box that will house the drawer.
Repeating step 3 above for the bottom drawer and box:
Again, the individual pieces are labeled to aid in assembly.

Once all 3 boxes were assembled and glue allowed to dry, I gave all surfaces another light sanding. I then, glued the bottom of the middle box to the top of the bottom box. And then the bottom of the top box was glued to the top of the middle box, to form a stack. I only assigned this Intermediate because of the assembly, sanding, and number of pieces.
Possibilities are endless. I hope you enjoy!
