Interactive box that tells its own story through each laser engraving, personalized with a kdrama theme, has a QR code linked to video and encrypted text in Korean that can be scanned with Google Lens. Through these features we take the experience to another level, making it fascinating and immersive. a gift that your loved one will surely remember forever. I am a person who only watches horror movies but my girlfriend insisted that I leave my comfort zone, so I ended up submerged and somewhat kidnapped by my lunatic girlfriend who would not accept a "NO", this is the story of how I ended up. watching a Korean drama series and although it was not my style, everything is done for love and although I confess that I fell asleep at least twice, I managed to rescue the message and I wanted to put it in a gift box for her because I know she is passionate about these series , so I hope you will be happy to receive it We chose this theme based on the story of an immortal being who saves a woman from a fatal fate, thus breaking natural law. In this process they create a timeless and genuine bond that does not obey laws or become extinct despite belonging to different worlds. . “If you catch a maple leaf you fall in love with the person who walks with you” is the phrase of human superstition wrapped in faith and innocence that an immortal being underestimated and the same one that made him understand in a short time that there are forces of which he cannot even a God can escape. (Love)
base of the box:
For the side pieces we will take the first rectangle that we created as a base and on its four faces we will position 4 more rectangles that align perfectly with the dimensions of each face (see image 1)
Next we are going to create the serrated edges for each piece, just as we did with the base, except for one of the sides where we will only create four tabs, two at each end. After carrying out this process, we rub each of the pieces in their respective position against the base to ensure by visual reference that the pieces fit perfectly. (see image 2)
We compare the side pieces with the front and back to make sure they fit, since each piece must fit the base and the two pieces adjacent to it. (see image 3)
To create the cover we take the base as a reference once again and create a rectangle that is slightly higher and is perfectly centered with the base (you can see it in image 4, red rectangle on the base) and taking the serrated edges of the base as a reference. base we are going to add small rectangles to the two tabs at each end. These holes will be where the two tabs on each side that we left on the side pieces on their upper edge fit. Once this is done, we move the cover along with all its rectangular holes to one side and compare it with the front piece to verify that the tabs we created align with the rectangular holes on the cover (see image 4).
We take the base as a reference and make a rectangle of the same size except for the lace tabs (see blue rectangle image 1/figure number 1)
We add four small rectangles that correspond perfectly with the last lace tabs of the side pieces and weld (see image 1 / figure 2)
We take the measurements of the gifts that we want to include in the box and draw vectors that correspond, we can leave a slight upper margin to ensure that we do not lose the piece due to a gift that does not fit, in this case our box will have a bottle of champagne, 3 chocolates and an additional box where we will include a necklace. In the space we have left we will make an engraving of the immortal being holding the maple leaf and his girlfriend in chibi format (see image 1 / figure 3)
Once we have all the parts of the box we can customize each one of them. For the cover we have the image of the immortal being and his bride surrounded by maple leaves. These images must be treated with brightness, contrast and gamma adjustments to create an ideal balance between light and dark tones that laser engraving can provide us. For best results use :JARVIS MODE when they are photorealistic images. (see image 1/figure 1)
For the side pieces, they were personalized with silhouette art of lovers inside a maple leaf that represents the bond that unites them and a sword that pierces the chest of the immortal being, this sword is only visible to the person who loves him that is why she points it out. . Additionally we added vectors of maple leaves in various sizes to cut them and give depth. We use the mirror tool to rotate the design on one of the pieces, that way when assembled they will be in the same orientation. (image 1 / figures 2 and 3)
For the front piece, a Valentine's Day inscription and a QR code that, when scanned, links you to the video of that special person's favorite scene. You can link videos, photos, presentations or any audio-visual media. You just have to use a QR generating application, enter the link of your preference and take that image in png, send it to the laser processing program, trace the image to obtain a vector and that's it, you can engrave your QR on the box. (see image 2/ green figure )
For the back piece we recorded silhouette art where the lovers meet for the first time in the rain and a text in Korean that can be deciphered with Google Lens by focusing the text on the box with your cell phone camera. (see image 2/ blue figure with gray)
We paint the square piece with smooth edges that will be glued inside the box and will serve to hold the lid in place, we paint with intense yellow and before drying we apply another layer on top of red from the edge to the center, blurring and mixing the colors with each other.
After drying, we fixed the piece to engrave a maple leaf texture motif on top. This engraving will only be at 50% power since we only want a slight texture that gives a feeling of realism.
We painted the maple leaf frame black and then put the pieces together and glued.
The small maple leaves that can be seen in the photos are leftovers from the relief motifs that we cut into the side pieces. We decided to take advantage of them by also painting them and including them inside the box.
