I have created this design using one piece of 3mm plywood (H-30cm XL-60cm).

Firstly, using your XTOOL laser cutter (I used the P2) cut out each piece of the design.

Make sure you cut all black lines and score the blue lines.

You should have 24 pieces in total.

Next, ensure that you have all 26 pieces ready to glue together using a quick dry super glue. I have created piles so I know which pieces go together to make each of the 4 boxes.

3xL pieces

3xO pieces

3xV pieces

3xE pieces

3xScored heart backing pieces

6xCircular pieces

1x Rose piece

1x Rectangular piece

1x Scored love writing bottom piece

The rose piece is the top of the design and is glued together with the L pieces and the circular piece is used to create the bottom of each box. The scored looping heart pieces are used as the backing side of each box.

For Boxes 'O' and 'V' the circular pieces is used for the top and bottom of each box and other the top for box 'E'.

The rectangular piece is used as the backing of box 'E' so a candle can be placed into the bottom box.

See the photos as a reference if unsure.

Once you have glued together all of the 4 boxes you can then colour the boxes as you please using a stain or paint to use the aesthetics of your room.

Finally, stack the boxes on top of each other so that the holes are visible from the top box to the bottom box, and place a candle inside the bottom box to light the design and create a cosy  and heart-warming atmosphere in your home.

Notes:

  • Using a flickering battery operated candle is preferred for safety reasons.
  • The text at the bottom of the design needs to be deleted after reading as it is not required in the design.
  • Spread each box out and use 4 candles to light up each box.
  • Stack the boxes in different position to change the look and suit your aesthetics of the room.
  • Never leave a lit candle unattended.
