Looking for more items to make and sell at you're next craft show? Try these leather mini purse charms. And yes they do open and close.
Depending on which machine you have you may need to adjust your power and speed.
For this tutorial I used my friends P2 machine, while the file was created on my F1.
For this tutorial I used a soft brown chrome tan leather at 2mm thick which in the leather world is 4-5oz weight.
If you are using a F1 I recommend a veg-tan leather only at 1-2mm thick max.
For this project I sanded away the burnt edge the laser creates but you can choose to leave it.
Lets start by attaching the sam brown stud to the center top hole. You will need a screw driver to set it.
Next you will take 2 of your four rapid rivets and push the posts up through the bag piece and one end of your bag strap.
Using a pair of needle nose pilers squeeze together your rivet cap on the rivet post. Do this to both ends.
Now we need to close up the bag. Take another rivet and push through the largest side fold, and bring the back fold over and through the rivet post, and finally the front fold over the rivet post and place your rivet cap on top and lock it in.
Take your pilers and squeeze both ends together.
Do this to the other side as well.
You should have a bag that looks like this.
Now you need to bring down the front flap and push the sam brown button through the large hole in front.
Now just add your key ring clip to the handle and enjoy!
