Information
Made an engraving and then cut it out to make it more 3D looking.

Step1: Take picture
Preview
Remove background. I use the background remover in image-R it's free. Save image and open back up in Image-R and resize and download.

Step2: Open your image in xcs

Use the trace feature to outline your image then you can move it over to set it as cut. Then place it back over the image.

Step3: Set the parameters for engraving and cutting.

Preview
After your project is cut out glue it to the base for display. You may need to do a little sanding on the edges as the trace feature doesn't always smooth it out. I made 2 base plates to make it a little sturdier.
