you can make the medallion bigger but smaller is better not as otherwise the edges can become too thin and break

 

the text is customisable

i used a special medal ribbon

treated the wood with a gold glitter colour before lasering
here you should make sure that the colour is laser-compatible and that the engraving setting is slightly higher
