A layered photo frame with an LED light with a kissing couple not just for Valentine's Day I tried to make something you can have for other occasions too. Feel free to use as inspiration or edit it by your own as you wish/like :) Photo/Clock frame I used is a 165x165mm frame and the inner size are 147x147mm.
There are couple of things what you have to do before you start with this project.
First of all the photo frame I using a specific one with dimensions of:
outer:165x165mm
inner: 147x147mm
you can use your own with different sizes but be aware when you editing the size of the elements. Never do a simple resize on the single layer always select the all layers otherwise it will not fit on the end. As well in a project is a small box for a LED base if you want to resize it please edit it as nodes not a simple resize.
If you dont wanna use LED just skip this step.
First of all we need to make a hole on back of our Photo frame to get access to the LED because the whole final product is enclosed from the front.
Depends on your LED ( I am using a small rectangular one from Temu ) we need to cut a hole the setting for the cutting to the photo frame is on you because of the material you choose. ( for my photo frame I used a power of 90% and speed of 3 )
As I mentioned above I am using a small rectangular LED and therefore I made for it a box with possibility to slide it out if you want change the batteries for example. Therefore in the file is a box with a sliding bed for a LED. The LED base is glued to a sliding bed so you can just pull it out simply.
I wanted to make a gradient effect therefore I glued the whole LED strip in to the middle of the frame. I used hot glue for this I think it works pretty good with this stuff like LED strip.
Of course if you wanna use the LED strip around feel free :)
Cut out the front layer as well the second paper layer. The reason why you need a thicker second paper layer to apply is that a 3mm plywood is a bit transparent due to his thickness so therefore the paper is a extra layer to prevent the light pass through the plywood ( the LED light I mean from inside ).
Just use little transparent glue on a couple of places and just glue together this 2 layers
Paint the front layer ( I used a water based marker but you can spray it as well )
The couple and a heart element is from 2 pieces because I wanted to give it a depth.
Paint the couple and the single ellipse element as you wish imagination is on you :) and glue them together.
Same with a heart 2 pieces paint the bigger heart and glue together.
Give them a bit rest to harden.
It the front layer is dry from painting glue together the front layer and a couple element I left a little gap between a front layer and paper layer so you can move the couple as you wish. Just don't glue the couple element on a paper layer because you will have a gap between glue and it can fell off later.
Glue the front layer to the photo frame and glue the small elements to the background ( photo frame bottom layer ). You can arrange the small element as you wish. The big heart “should” go to the middle above the couple.
Or switch the step and glue firstly the small elements and then glue the front layer. For me was better the first variant because you see where is the center of the couple as well their heads so on.
