First attempt on Hinge to create a foldable Heart Popout Frame.
You can use any laser machine that has the ability to cut 3mm wood

Note: The heart used is Xtool Creative Space's Heart which is not symmetric - So please make sure everything fits before gluing
Instruction
Step1: Laser all the way
There are three canvases in the xcs file. You can use any laser machine to make this frame
First - Open Canvas1 and process it. Depending on the machine you are using - you may have to divide it into two jobs
This step includes
1. Cutting the Rectangle base with the hinge at the center. (Hinge allows the wooden base to fold)
2. Two Rectangles with Heart Shape Cut out (One with Engraved message - We will use that one in the later step)
3. One Rectangle with Heart Scoring (This gives you an approximation on where to glue the heart
Step2: Flip the Base
Once you process the base, simply flip it and using exact framing - engrave the designs from canvas2. You can probably make it darker than what i have
These will act as your front and back cover.
Step3: Glue Glue Glue
Glue the Two rectangles with hollow hearts. Make sure you confirm the heart piece(w engraved message) fits in before gluing. Just try to test how you would close a book.
Note: Hearts are not symmetrical - if you turn them around they might not fit. Test everytime before gluing
Step4: Create your own Heart Image
Canvas 3 has a heart shape svg slightly smaller than the hollow hearts, so that this photo can easily fit in. You can glue it or you can find the perfect fit
Import your image in XCS. Select both your image and the heart and click “Create Mask” on the top
Position your photo, once finalized click done on the top right.
Export it and print it and Cut it.
Keep checking the orientations are correct and photo fits the hollow pieces
Step5: Glue and Paint
Paint the Engraved Heart with Red.
All the gluing is done on the opposite side of the engraved designs.
Glue the double layered Hollow Heart on the left most side of the base
Glue the Rectangle with scored heart on the right most side of the base
Glue the painted heart on the scored heart
Make sure all the pieces fit in before gluing anything.
Step6: Fold it, Put a Ribbon and Gift it
Now you have a cute foldable frame with popout heart.
