20oz laser engraved tumbler adorned on one side with Donald J Trump N.47 POTUS and the other side the Liberal tears of melted snowflakes. This is all in fun, I don't care who you vote for.
These were originally png files. I used the trace function to make them vectors. I then made a copy of each image the first of the 2 I programmed for BL settings of 80% power, 260 speed, 100 Lcm 1 pass. For the copied image I created a new layer and programmed it as Fiber 20% power, 400 speed, 30 Fq (60 Fq works fine too) for 1 pass.
After programming the settings for each of the 4 pieces (2 for each design) stack the original and copy on top of each other ensuring exact overlap. then group so they will not move.
my tumbler was 11" in perimeter and had a height of 5.5" avail for the engraving area. I used the rectangle shape and adjusted it's measurements to the above mentioned. I then placed one of the designs in the rectangle centering it on the top part of the rectangle and repeated for the second image on the bottom portion of the rectangle. Set the rectangle to “ignore” so it will not engrave.
Click the 3 dots next to processing and change it to “by layer”. Click on the layers tab on the bottom left of XCS and move the layer order into position ensuring that the Blue Light engraves first and the Fiber layer second.
Place item on rotary attachment (I used the chuck), ensure placement, leveling and distance, set your perimeter. Frame to check placement. then process
