Steps for Engraving on Stainless Steel with the M1 Ultra
Select Your Material
Take your stainless steel material and spray it with the xTool black laser marking spray.
Prepare the Surface
Wait for 15–30 minutes for the spray to dry, or use a heat gun to speed up the process.
Secure the Material
I use the cutting mat to keep my pendant in place, but be very careful not to engrave onto the mat.
Mark the Process Area
Use the "mark process area" feature to carefully identify and mark the exact spot where your pendant is located.
Focus or Auto Measure
Ensure the focus is correct or use the Auto Measure feature for accurate engraving.

Lines per cm 160 or 220
Engraving Time
Depending on the size of the design, the engraving process typically takes about 5 to 10 minutes.
