      The new year is coming up and the parties are going to be big why not have a little stand on the table New Years Eve...

  1. This project starts by creating the base
  2. This is done with several rectangles that have had 2 ovals on either side placed by overlapping them
  3. Once in place the subtract feature is used to remove the ovals and to create the curved rectangles.
  4. These rectangles are copied to have 8, easiest way is to use the array feature.
  5. Then a top and bottom ring is made with carefully sized slots for the rectangles to fit in to.
  6. This is done with making 1 slot at the right size and using the circle array to create the slotted ring.
  7. Both the top and bottom rings are set to be smaller than the other.
  8. The next item needed is the year, this is done and outlined in curved shape.
  9. When the item is ready the bottom is sized for a slot so it ill be free standing.
  10. When all adjustments to cut settings are set it is send to be processed 
  11. Now the fun part, assembly, each curved rectangle goes into the top and bottom ring then the year is glued on the top.
  12. coloring or painting is optional and it can be done before of after
  13. Now the little standing year is ready for the big party.
