Information
I was engraving mirrors for Christmas, and I enjoyed the process. I was thinking of a way to make (all year around) different signs and this came about.

Using the clip art in the system I put together the Deer Welcome sign. I used a Dollar Tree Mirror to engrave on. Settings for my M1 10W is 70/50/1. (You need to do a personal test to be sure you get your settings.) You can adapt to wood rounds or a Decal.

1, Set up the Mirror face down. (You will need Black Poster Board cut to area around Mirror.)  Slates (Popsicle sticks to raise up your mirror off the Honeycomb or Base Plate).

2. Run a test on a Mirror similar to the one you want to use. (I always buy several of the same kind.) Choose an area that doesn't have any burning or soot on it.)

3. Engrave the mirror. Times may vary according to the Mirror. Mine was about 25 minutes.

4. Clean the Mirror with 99% rubbing alcohol and a clean cloth or rag. Let air dry for a few minutes

5.  Paint with Acrylic Paints. (I found that using the Paint Pens is great.) 2 coats or check for missed areas as you go.

6. Put the Mirror back into the Frame or you can make you own frame.
