This project is a repeat engraving of several coins so in order to have them exactly te same a fixture is created to hold each coin in the exact position.
This is done by measuring the coin and creating a hole the same size.
This hole is cut from the 3mm birch
Once the hole is cut out of the wood the laser module is changed out for the 2w IR module to engrave the brass.
With the circle pin point system the hole is marked
Once the marking is set up, the circle created in the software shows exactly where the coin will be
Now the image for the coin can be sized. It starts with wording curved on the top
A christmas tree and bells are added from the shape list of xcs
When the image is all set it is grouped and the settings are adjusted
when each size of the engraving is complete it simply flipped over to do the second side
Once each coin is finished the steps are repeated for the amount of coins being engraved.
Last thing is to place coin in it's protective case.
