I combined a few designs I've seen for Santa trays. to come up with a design that works well on easy to find dollar store premade bamboo cutting boards. No more storing ceramic plates, hoping they wont break. 

I tweaked settings to get a nice laser burn without charring, and all settings are in the XCS attached file. I have a S1 20W so feel free to tweak as needed. The Love, xxx can be changed or removed. I did the engrave and score in one layer. I also didn't group, therefore all the elements can be moved, if your size board isn't the same as what I purchased.
