In the Night Before Christmas poem he said "there arose such a clatter". Here we have the Rose Suchak Ladder co. brass plate that can be added to blanket ladders and other Christmas decor for the season
Measure your nameplate
Create a rectangle in the same size within XCS
Add ovals to the corners that are the same size as the cutouts from your plate's corners
Subtract the ovals from the rectangle
You now have an outline template to design within
Enter your text
I chose Rose Suchak Ladder Co. and used the Lobster font
Add rose images to the sides of your text for added interest
Weld your text together
Unite your design
I taped some tape upside down (sticky side up) and placed the plate on it to hold it in place
Focus the laser
Use the framing option to center your design on the plate
My settings are in the project but they may vary somewhat depending on the metal that you have and it's composition. Test grids are your friend but this will give you a starting place
Start your engrave. Mine took about 5 minutes
Attach your new plate to it's display location and enjoy!
