This simple piece makes a fantastic and versatile Christmas decoration. It can be stained or painted to suit your personal style.
Cut and score material as listed above. Make sure it cut all the way through before moving pieces.
Paint or stain as desired and let dry. Be sure to do both sides of each tree piece. You may need to sand or clean wood if leaving natural. I used a dark walnut stain for one layer and a weathered gray stain for another layer. I left the middle layer and the stand as natural wood.
Glue and clamp together the 3 tree layers and the 3 base layers. Let it completely dry. Spray with a clear protective coat if desired and let dry. Put the tree in the base and you're done!
