I made this fun sign for a Christmas gift. I used a 16" round mdf board (6mm) for the base and a 3mm mdf board to cut the words and shapes.
I was able to cut all of the words and shapes on a 19X12 3mm MDF board. (Power 65 and Speed 12) Total cut time was 21 minutes.
I painted the base piece with white acrylic paint from Sherwin Williams. I always buy the quart samples for about $10 a quart. Next, I painted a light gray over the white and used a wood-graining tool (Amazon) to give it a wood-textured look. I sprinkled a little glitter on it and then finished it with spray on clear coat.
I painted the words and shapes with two layers of acrylic paint in various colors then glued it to the round base with Starbond thick glue. (Amazon)
