1:Use a Laser Cutter: Cut the panels using a laser cutter. For this project, use 3mm walnut plywood and select the appropriate cutting parameters for the machine.
2:File Setup: Use the "Complete integrated" layer in the XCS file for layout. If the panel dimensions are suitable, you can cut directly. For other sizes, select the "Individual accessory" layer to re-layout the design.
1:Clean the Cut Edges: Wipe down the cut surfaces, then use sandpaper to smooth and flatten the completed parts.
2:Assemble the Components: Use painter's tape to temporarily hold the head and body sections together. Once you are sure all parts are correctly aligned, use quick-drying glue to bond the pieces from the inside.
3:Important Notes: Wear latex gloves during the process. If there are any uneven areas at the joints, you can use sandpaper to smooth them out.
1:Install Metal Connectors: Reverse-install the metal connectors at their designated positions. Use a pencil to mark the spots before securing them with screws.
2:Apply Beeswax: Rub beeswax along the direction of the wood grain to enhance the surface color and add a glossy finish. Wipe off any excess beeswax with a cloth. After allowing it to dry for 24 hours, lightly sand the surface with fine sandpaper and apply another coat of beeswax.
3:Important Notes: Wear latex gloves during the process. Ensure that the screw lengths do not penetrate through the wood panel.
