I did this as a gift for my daughter. This is a sky map of the exact time she was born. This was the first time I have tried this so it is only 4x6.

Preview
The first thing you need to do is go to https://didiendo.com/free-star-map-generator/ to generate a map of the sky for what date you would like. Follow the directions to create your map and download it to your computer.

Import your skymap into XCS. Here you can add a frame and title as you wish. You can also size your map the way you would like it.

Lastly you just add your black acrylic to your laser bed, center your image how you like it and click process.
