Step1: Design Stage 1
This project starts out with the SVG of the pumpkin with the desired letter in the middle, there is a copy of the the blank pumpkin so a letter can be added. Once this is placed it is outlined large enough to cover the entire area. Once this outline is created a oval is created from the insert button, this oval can be any size needed but most times it is best to keep things equally sized. This oval is then united with the outline to create an entire new shape. this oval allows to add a family name.
Step2: Design Stage 2
This step adds a family name to the oval area, this name will be engraved on the wood, once the font and size is picked the new curving feature is used to slightly make the family name have a slight bend. Once everything is ready it is time to adjust the settings for both the wood and the acrylic. The wood gets cut along with engraved.
Step3: finishing
Once the laser has cut out and engraved the pieces, a spray adhesive is used to bond the pieces together, once this is done a clear coat is applied for protection.
