Information
Well this contest is to create something from being inspired by a different project, Well I picked this file from the list. Yes it happens to be my own but it will be 100% deviated. Adding some 3D effects and some bent wood as well. Painting is involved along with cutting, engraving and bending wood to add to the difficulty of the project.

Step1: Design Stage Fish

Step 1) This project starts with a fish shaped image, it is set to engrave only some of the fish highlights. the fish engraved area's are outlined to make up the fish outline. This outline is cut left and right from the material so it can be engraved on both sides.

Step2: Design Stage 2 Fishing Rod

Step 2) In this step all the little pieces that are needed to create the fishing rod. All of these parts are all created using the insert button for creating circles and rectangles. Each part that are together with a rectangle and a circle are combined with the unite feature. All of these parts are sized accordingly and are set to be cut out creating the 3D fishing rod. To complete this fishing rod a 5mm round wood doweling was used, the eyes were sized to fit over the doweling in the proper place. The handle and the reel of the fishing rod were also created from pieces made with the insert button. All of thee pieces are set to be cut.

Step3: Design Stage 3 Stand Off From Wall.

Step 3) In the step the stand off for the wall was created, like the other parts they too were created using the insert button, a single backing plate was made with a rectangle and the use of the radius feature was used to round the corners. The space is too created with a rectangle but was cut away with the combine and subtract feature with an angled rectangle.

Step4: Design Stage 4 Bending the Wood ( Engraved Fish)

Step 4) To make the engraved fish look more life like the wood was bent after the fish was engraved on both sides. In order to bend the fish it was placed in a container of water over night to soak, the next step was to cover the piece of wood, in this case the fish in a wet towel on both sides and placed in a regular household microwave for 60 seconds on high power ( depending on how powerful you microwave is could be 15 seconds longer) Once this is finished it is carefully removed from the microwave, (use gloves as it will be HOT) and curved over a round object and held in place until cooled. About 10 minutes, the easiest way is to tie a string around it to hold it for that time. Once cooled the wood or fish is then curved. and can be painted if desired.
