Information
Just a super fun cute and adorable jewelry set that's cute, easy and great for test cuts. Plus, who doesn't love hearts, crescent moons or stars. Make a simple and easy little gift for someone... get creative and alter them creatively too!

Part of the XTool Creative Space Hearty Moon Series I'm making where I design in XTool's Creative space with just the tools in the Design Space... Just like the Hearty Moon and Star Bookmark and the other 2 free jewelry designs available as free files. Since I didn't draw and design these from scratch, they're just free fun examples that share and show you what kind of easy fun creations you can make with just the basic shape tools and welding buttons available in the creative space... Explore the design space and make your own versions, or just download my free ones to cut and make.

Would absolutely adore it if you liked and faved it if you love my free fun files <3 Thankies <(^.^)>

Instructions in the steps posted below are for cutting, prepping, varnishing and assembling your bookmark. In under 10 Minutes <3 7 if you're quick at varnishing lol

01a. Download the attached XTool Creativespace file.

01b. Open File <(^.^)>

01c. Position your chosen material on the lazerbed.

01d. Move the image in the CreativeSpace so you can align your lazer with the material so as to avoid material wastage.

01e. Set the correct processing parameters for your material, check it's set to output and cutting. For Victorian Pine or Ash Plywood, the cut setting on my S1 20w is PWR 100 SPD 5. This is because the glue is thicker inside this ply, but it's lazer safe and formaldehyde free.

NOTE: This one took 2 minutes and 05 seconds to fully cut.

Step2: Prep & Varnish

02a. Remove the cut parts from lazer machine (lol)

02b. Clean your parts, Stars and moons. I used a water tray with a paper towel to quickly dry my project. You can run it under a tap too. Make sure to rub any edges to remove smoke marks and ash from the Lazer cutting process, because no one wants ashy smoke stains on their clothes. Pat dry thoroughly on a towel, paper towel or tissues.

03c. After they are dry. Varnish them. Any remaining smokey residue will be set into the varnish, making these perfectly touch safe.

Note 01: I use a water-based wood varnish, less toxic vapor wise (yay) easy water cleanup.

Note 02: You can use a big brush to varnish quickly in 1-2 minutes, however I prefer to use a tiny brush so that I can take my time (30minutes lol) and get the varnish evenly on the bookmark and perfectly into all those little nooks and cut edges without leaving too much excess varnish.

Note 03: Make sure you varnish the edges where there is the most smoke residue to seal them up.

Note 04: Varnish does change the tone of the wood, Jarrah becomes darker and richer with clear varnish and Victorian Ash gets a bolder wood grain when varnished.

Note 05: If your wood comes pre-varnished, still do this step of prep and varnish, except instead of varnishing the top and back of your cut parts, avoid the already varnished surface and varnish the lazercut edges along the side to stop that smokey residue marking hands and clothes.

03a. After your parts are dry, pick your thread/string/wool/cord/strap/jewelry findings/ earring hooks, necklace cords. <3

03b. Using your chosen jewelry finding parts, use your pliers to add the metal earring hooks and necklace loops. I like to dangle the hearts cut out of the star as part of the earring, but you can also make mini heart earrings from those cutouts too! Use your imagination and mix it up <3 The super tiny hearts that pop out work for little studs too!

03d. Viola, you are finished. Add them to your display cards or put them on for a moonlight night out!

I hope you enjoyed my Jewelry Making Fun Cuteness. Please support my designing and making online <3
