Well we all have to cook some time, and not all recipes are in our heads, so some times we need help from a book or an old recipe. Here is a nice way to hold your recipe book or the new electronic style books we call cell phones. by the way as a bonus this will work with a tablet as well.
Step 1) This project starts with a shape from the computer, this is entered in to the work area from the image button. This file is an SVG so it has full control for scoring, engraving or cutting. This time we will be eventually cutting. Once the image is set with desired size achieved a small thin slot is created, this is done with a new rectangle created from the insert button. It is sized and placed approx. 1" from the bottom of the image and is centered. both items need the slot so everything is copied and pasted for the second one and seized properly.
Step 2) With a new canvas more rectangles are created, both will be different sizes for each of the 2 different size holders. once these are created a second rectangle is made for the front edge. This front edge piece gets a name engraved and the font can be up to you. In this step you will need to do everything 2 times with 2 different sizes as the two holders are 1 big and 1 small. Once you have the parts all sized and set with names it is time to adjust settings and send to machine.
Step 3) Once everything is cut and engraved on the machine there is very little to be glued together, the front is glued to the slide that fits in the tiny thin slot that was cut out on the main holder. this slot is slightly wider that the piece so it slides easy, this is also adjustable so not only a cell phone can be displayed but even a tablet or an actual cook book.
