  • The image is selected or we generate it with AI.
  • Then we must eliminate the background and if we want we apply shadow and contrast adjustments to create a sensation of depth.
  • In this case the image had a dark background, so when removing it I took with it the outline of the statue and used Photoshop to reconstruct it with the option: layer / stroke settings, you can also remove the background manually with the tool polygonal loop

Step2: outer structure

  • We must create a dark and solid color duplicate of our piece and then use the trace image function and thus obtain the external cut vector of the piece, after this we can discard the solid color image and we will place image 1 on the vector to make a single piece that our machine will engrave and then cut (they must be perfectly aligned) )image 1
  • Using the rectangle tool we will create a figure like the one we can see in the image. It corresponds to a green rectangle that frames our main piece and another additional rectangle at the bottom that will act as a text box. image 2
  • Once we have the internal frame we will create the external one, which can be as wide as you want as long as it covers in extension and exceeds the total area of the green rectangles.
  • Finally we duplicate the external frame and this will be a separate piece that will serve as a base layer. indeed! In this design, the last thing to be created is the base, since to guarantee that the pieces fit together, the ideal is to first create the internal piece and from there build the exterior vectors.

Once the project was finished we decided to give it an additional touch by painting the background piece so the statue would stand out more. we use spray paint and cold paint
