Follow steps 1 to 3 from above
For the picture, we will be using a square instead of the outline
- Select the size you will need for the frame you are using. Mine was a 4 x 4 frame.
- Create a square by using the Insert icon on the right and draw the rectangle and then resize to what you want based on the frame you are using.
- We will now put the square outline on a layer of its own to be able to cut
- We are going to put this on a different layer to allow this to be cut. Select the frame you just added to the apple and On the left of the workspace select Move object to a new layer, select another color layer.
- Since you now have the new layer selected, click on that and select CUT from the processing type on the right hand side of the screen. This will allow only that portion to be cut and the rest will be engraved.
- Now click on the other layer and select Engrave from the processing type on the right hand side of the screen.
- You can now Group everything by selecting the entire project, select group from the toolbar on top and now resize to your desired size.
- Place the foam in the machine. You are now ready to run the laser. Make sure to remember to put the cutting tray in the machine before starting the project.
- Settings for the cut are Blue Laser P 100, S 9, 2 passes
- Settings for the engrave are Blue Laser P 100, S 700, LPC 100 2 passes
- Click on framing to be sure you project is properly placed. When framing is complete, click process the hit the start button on the machine and watch your design come to life.
- I had an old frame I purchased from the Dollar Store and used this to frame the piece.
- Present to your favorite teacher.
