Information

This was a piece done for a back to school fund raiser for a local High School. The purpose of this is to be able to see what using the cross hatch in Lightburn can do to really accentuate the letters on the logo. This can be used on any logo you make or use.

  1. Select the image you choose to use or create your own.
  2. Right click on the image and select Trace Image. This will just outline the image for you
  3. You will see the image is now outlines in purple. If it is covered to include all you want, click save.
  4. In my case, I added a square around the logo since it will fit in the center of the design piece it being attached to.  To Center the logo in the square, I click the logo, then holding the CTRL click on the square and click on the center image (see picture above that is circled in yellow.
  5. Settings are for the 20 watt D1 Pro.  Fill (this will fill in the dark areas) 5000/50 1 pass click on Cross Hatch. wit cross hatch it will go from side to side and up and down making a more pronounced look and allowing the letters to really stand out and look 3D
  6. You are now ready to run the laser. With the cross hatch it does take a little longer to run but is well worth the time.
  7. This was done in Lighburn because I am not aware of the cross hatch feature being in XCS.
