Creating a door sign from a cheap aluminum sourced from local metal supplier. This will be fully weather proof.
The material is with very scratched surface so we initially emboss a fully black rectangle (PNG not vector) on to the whole peace to clean the scratches and matte the surface. Align and resize the square so it overlaps a little bit outside of your material. I've used a carton box under the aluminum to protect my base plate. If scratches are visible after the first run - repeat until it's clean.
Run a directional engrave so we have a nice brushed surface look with horizontal direction. This time we use a vector rectangle and again resize it so it overlaps a little outside of your working peace. I've run this 1 pass but you can repeat to achieve the desired look. Important: Do not touch the metal with dirty hands as this matt finish easily absorbs oils and impurities from your hands.
Engrave the final image. You can play with the speed/power to achieve more darker look. I've stuck with my initial settings as the result was very pleasing. The cat was generated using Almake AI I have added only a small white dot on the neck to simulate the one on my real black cat. After you finish give it some time before you touch it as the peace of metal will be very hot!
You can finish the plate with a spray of clear coat on top to add more contrast and to protect the fine surface achieved from oil stains from handling with dirty hands.
You can mount it using double sided tape.
