Information
Part ONE of my Merry Creature Set of 3. This cute dog or is it a fox or is it a wolf creature just makes the dog lover in me super happy because it's freaking CUTE! I edited the cute design so it works as an engraved image and as a cut image so you can make Christmas decorations OR jewelry from the design.

This Design was made using the Almake AI to create the Fibonacci styled creature!

[Style] Fibonacci
[Prompt] A cute furry side view of a dog wearing a fuzzy Christmas hat

So, I generated the image, screenshotted it, edited the background out in photoshop and then I imported it into XTool's creative space so I could have some fun making them into these super cute earrings, pendant and Christmas decorations! I hope they make your Christmas cute and that you have a merry woofmas!

Make a simple and easy little gift for someone... get creative and alter them creatively too!

Would absolutely adore it if you liked and faved it if you love my free fun files <3 Thankies <(^.^)> There is more free fun cuteness on my page <3

Instructions in the steps posted below are for cutting, prepping, varnishing and assembling your jewelery.

Step1: Generate, Edtit, Import, Setup & Lazer!

01a. Download the attached XTool Creativespace file.

OR To Generate and make your own….

Generate your Almake image… It might take a few attempts to get this kind of cuteness. This one was made in the Fibonacci Style…

Pro TIP. Downloading and importing the image doesn't give you the exact image that's visible when you generate your image. For some reason the auto import or download of y=the generated image comes out blockier and less smooth, so as a perfectionist, I found a way around that. Make sure you screenshot your generated image in the generate image window. Use that screenshot to edit it in photoshop/illustrator and then re-import the image into the creative space to get the same less blocky generated image. After doing it that way, I'm pretty happy with the result. I mean, aren't they just so freaking cute?!

01b. Open File <(^.^)>

01c. Position your chosen material on the lazerbed.

01d. Move the image in the CreativeSpace so you can align your lazer with the material so as to avoid material wastage.

01e. Set the correct processing parameters for your material, check it's set to output and cutting. For Victorian Pine or Ash Plywood, the cut setting on my S1 20w is PWR 100 SPD 5. This is because the glue is thicker inside this ply, but it's lazer safe and formaldehyde free.

NOTE: When making engraved images for earrings, pendants or christmas decorations, I like to cut 2 mirror images of them, so that I can then flip and engrave both sides of the material. That way you get a nice perfect finished product that looks great from the back and front!

NOTE: There's also a 3 layer stackable version for those who want 3 colored decorations. Simply cut in 3 different material colors and glue them together in the right order <3

Step2: Prep & Varnish

02a. Remove the cut parts from lazer machine (lol)

02b. Clean your parts. I used a water tray with a paper towel to quickly dry my project. You can run it under a tap too. Make sure to rub any edges to remove smoke marks and ash from the Lazer cutting process, because no one wants ashy smoke stains on their clothes. If there are stubbon smoke marks or the wood is rough, lightly sand it. Pat dry thoroughly on a towel, paper towel or tissues imediately after to stop any ply seperation that happens when there's too much moisture on unvarnished wood, whcih in some cases can cause the veneer seperation as the water affects the wood glues.

03c. After they are dry. Varnish them. Any remaining smokey residue will be set into the varnish, making these perfectly touch safe.

Note 01: I use a water-based wood varnish, less toxic vapor wise (yay) easy water cleanup.

Note 02: You can use a big brush to varnish quickly in 1-2 minutes, however I prefer to use a tiny brush so that I can take my time (30minutes lol) and get the varnish evenly on the bookmark and perfectly into all those little nooks and cut edges without leaving too much excess varnish.

Note 03: Make sure you varnish the edges where there is the most smoke residue to seal them up.

Note 04: Varnish does change the tone of the wood, Jarrah becomes darker and richer with clear varnish and Victorian Ash gets a bolder wood grain when varnished.

Note 05: If your wood comes pre-varnished, still do this step of prep and varnish, except instead of varnishing the top and back of your cut parts, avoid the already varnished surface and varnish the lazercut edges along the side to stop that smokey residue marking hands and clothes.

03a. After your parts are dry, pick your thread/string/wool/cord/strap/jewelry findings/ earring hooks, necklace cords. <3

03b. Using your chosen jewelry finding parts, use your pliers to add the metal earring hooks and necklace loops.

03c. When making your christmas decoration, thread your ribbon through the hole and tie a bow. Don't forget to use a lighter to stop the ribbon ends from fraying and keeping your ribbon nice and pretty no matter how many trees it gets moved around on!

03d. Viola, you are finished. Add them to your display cards or put them on for a moonlight night out!

I hope you enjoyed my Merry Christmas Furbaby Decoration and Jewelry Making Fun Cuteness. Please support my designing and making online <3
