Just make your design I have included a heart shape here with my sunflower design, I use canva pro to edit the words and then import into XCS this seems to be the easiest way so far. The tricky part at least for me and I am always looking for advice, is lining up the laser and evenly on the material. I use a rafting square to the outside frame of the machine and with this lightweight material do not forget to use a magnet or tape to secure it. First side will have the front and the back side I like to cut a circle in it to recess the magnet on the sunflower design it lines up so the magnet acctually looks like the center of the flower! 

So the hard part is done now just paint the back peice so that it showes through I use black but any color can be used, now I left the front of this natural but sometimes I paint it as well (usually white because I have little imagination when coming to colors lol). once the paint is dry glue the two peices togeather, and once that is dry I use double sided tape to the magnet and place it in the recessed hole and just press with light pressure, woola you just made a magnet! I will try to improve on my pictures for future processes.
