      Never thought I would do a project with Acrylic and leather together but here I am doing it. I liked how Xtool can make your imagination come to life.

Step 1) With this step a rectangle was created using the insert feature, once this rectangle was sized an image of the world was brought in from the computer, it is a regular image found on the internet of the world map. This image was previously converted into an SVG file with other software , this allows the ability to cut the image from the leather sheet. I also included a title with the words Hello World, this text was centered along the top and was set to be engraved. As you can see the blue color changing leather turns to silver when settings are correct.

With a sheet of leather the settings are different compared to the acrylic, so this is done separately, the setting for cutting and engraving the leather are as follows…

The cutting of the acrylic is quite straight forward, it is simply sized to the same as the leather but only the outline is cut.  The acrylic is spray painted brown prior to cutting so the paint was good and dry. The settings for cutting the Acrylic are as follows…

Once the acrylic and leather was engraved and cut a spray adhesive was applied to the back of the leather, which in turn was glued each part together, then it was hung on the wall for the art piece it turned out to be….
