[Style] Stained glass [Prompt] santa clause in slaiegh, flying over Chicago skyline. AIMake provided the stained glass image. Using Inkscape we split into layers to create a box to hold the LED strip. To duplicate: Order an ESP-32 development board : https://www.amazon.com/Teyleten-Robot-ESP-WROOM-32-Development-Microcontroller/dp/B09J95SMG7/ LED Strip : https://www.amazon.com/SEZO-Individually-Addressable-Programmable-Non-Waterproof/dp/B097BXQF8J Load WLED onto the development board https://kno.wled.ge/ WLED is an open source LED controller with hundreds of effects. Loading onto the development board is super easy, install from browser. I have provided the inkscape file, and the Creative Space file for your modifications. Layer as you like!
1: Choose the pieces you wish to use. The CMS file has 5 group to be cut :
back piece , spacer, cityscape, stained glass santa, plain santa.
the pieces have been sized to fit on one 12 in x 12in 3 mm board ( the size of the work surface of a M1 Ultra. I',m' not smart enough how to figure out how to make multiple work surfaces in CMS, so you need to copy plain santa to a new project.
2: Laser settings are provided - just hit ‘go process’ !
3: The LED strand that I used is 12mm wide . Copy ‘spacer’ to a new project. Use 6mm plywood - and cut two copies of spacer. Glue these together.
4: The spacer adds depth to the piece, I prefer a spacer between cityscape and stained glass santa. But use your judgement.
5: Follow the instructions of how to install WLED from https://install.wled.me/ Its pretty simple, have ESP32 connected to computer via USB, and install from browser.
6: Follow instructions on how to connect LED strip to ESP32 from https://kno.wled.ge/basics/getting-started/
WLED provides a web GUI to control the LEDs. There are hundreds of patterns ; and if you become advanced, you can make the LED dance to noise etc
IF you cut a 12 mm spacer , then the LED can wrap around the inside of the piece.
IF you want a thinner piece, then you would still want about a 6 mm spacer in order to lay the LEDs flat
Layer as you like. Glue it up.
