Information

      This is an adaptation of an angled sign from a boxes py generator. 

I've made two changes
- The holes for the corks to fit into
- A removable sign and holder to be glued to the back

Instruction

Step1: Prep and Cut

I try to use a color key on all of my project files AND I add notes in XCS as pointers in the PURPLE layer which is set to ignore (not process)

Select a piece of basswood, I used a 12 inch by 12 inch piece.
Determine if you want any modifications to the design
- For example; change the text design on the sign to fit your own
- Add some graphics to make it interesting
Adjust power settings in the project for YOUR laser
Please note: I use a more aggressive engrave on the square piece to remove material to make the sign easier to slide into the bracket
Process the design on the laser and take the pieces to your workspace

Step2: Glue & Assemble

Test fit the stands on the edge (main box joints)
- If they fit, disassemble and prepare for glue
- If they don't fit well, determine correction
  - Example: do you need to adjust kerf or clean up the cut?
Glue it together
- Locate the “U” shaped piece and glue it to the back of the circle board on the long end with more space
  - Have the opening of the U facing up
  - This is where the sign plugs into
- Glue the rectangle on top of the U shaped piece
  - This holds the sign to the piece
- Clamp as necessary based on your glue used
Glue the sides (if you want)
- Short edge DOWN to make it stand taller (as in my photo)
Insert your sign
- If it's too-tight of a fit, use either:
  - Laser set to engrave just that box to remove more material
    or
  - Sand paper to remove enough to make it slide
