My thoughts were:

A slice of watermelon looks more delicious than a whole one. So I sketch out a slice of watermelon, but I thought that adding few bites off the piece, will give a more interesting and fun look, the watermelon slice looks even more appealing this way. Like my pineapple one, I want to make both the stud and dangling style of earrings.

1. Upload my basic sketch onto Silhouette Studio first, with the "Trace" function, and convert the PNG raster format to vector format. (See Photo 1)
2. Went ahead manipulate the image and get the desired look. I decided to get the watermelon leaf for the stud portion. am pleased how it turns out.
3.  I design 4 styles: A regular slice, with seeds cut out (Photo 2), a regular slice using diamond painting beads for the seeds(Photo 3),  one with a few curvy abstract shapes of watermelon color (Photo 3), and lastly a fun-in-the-sun watermelon slice (Photo 4).

Save the design to SVG format.

Upload the SVG design file onto xTool Creative Space, I choose 1.5mm basswood for my earrings, so cut all pieces with 100/4/1. 

But for the one using the diamond beads, I will lightly engrave or score the circle for bead placing reference.

Since I'm making just the testing pairs, I use acrylic paint pen to color each small piece after the cutting, but if I'm making in volume, I will paint the whole board first then do the cutting.

Then glue the pieces together, after dry, with the appropriate hardware, I used large jumper ring for the watermelon slice and the leave, I then add the smaller jumper ring in between, so the earrings will be make dangling.
