Step 1) Set up Xart, ask for a school themed image, once image was decided it was brought into XCS software and edited to my liking.

Step 2) This project being 2 toned in color need to have 2 different sheets of acrylic prepared, one was made to be light blue and one to be dark blue this was done with high gloss fast drying paint. Once ready they were put in the laser machine for engraving and cutting. 

Step 3) As you can see The back to School lettering are a darker blue for it's layer but I also scored where the lettering will be placed for easy alignment. Once everything was engraved and cut the letters were glued in place.

Step 4) Once everything was assembled it was ready to display, as you can see the engraving give a sketched look along with a bright shine given from the high gloss acrylic…..
