Step1: Clean your stainless steel

The cleaner you get your surface, the better your engraving will look.  I wipe mine down with rubbing alcohol, and then dry wipe with a lint free towel.  Even finterprints will show in the color if you leave it.

Step2: Change your process settings
Preview

Use the photo as a guide.  To get to this menu, click the button in xcs indicated with the arrow.  Make sure your settings look the same as mine.  Especially don't use Smart, as I got lines in my engraving using this.

Step3: Process

Now you are ready to process.   Different metals and thicknesses will affect the color, so you can have slight variations.

That's it, you are done.  ☺
