Step 1) Create a name using a font that touches each letter, this font does but as you can see there is an overlap so the weld feature is need to make the word cut out all one piece.

Step2: Outline

Step 2) Now the word is ready an outline is needed, this outline should be big enough to become a backer for the wording.

Step 3) So now we have the name and the outline, a area needs to be added for the ribbon to go through so in order to do that we simply add a circle in the corner of the background. Once in place highlighting the new circle and the background together it can be united to become one piece. Now all that is needed is a second smaller circle in the middle of that new area. Now it is sent off to the laser machine for all the cutting. To speed things up a 3mm board was painted half white and half red. the backing cut out of the white and the wording cut out of the red area. I show more than one name and it is as simple as repeating the steps for each one based on the name needed or wanted.

Step4: pieced together.

So now the laser has cut all the pieces, it is time to glue them together. The wording simply goes on top of the backing and a ribbon is run through the hole that was created.
