To start, make a text box and type the name you want, you can choose the style of text you prefer.

Select the text and create an outline. Set both parts to cut using the settings relevant for the material you are using.

Move the text box and the outline into the star and resize so that it fits into the space. Once you are happy, move the text box and the outline off the star as these need to be cut seperatly.

Now highlight the out line and the large star cut out and place both on ignore.

Process both the surname and the star topper itself.  

Once this has processed remove from the base plate and leave on one side.

Now ignore the elements you have just cut. 

Highlight the large star cut out and the outline for the surname.  Ensure these are set to out put and on the correct cutting settings. 

Change the material for a darker wood or different material.

Line up the design to the material, and process.

Remove from bed

Glue the name to the out line and the outline to the large star. Then glue the star cut out to the topper and allow it all to dry.

You have now finished.
