Open the file ‘letters for name jigsaw’. Ensure that the text used is Baloo Bhaijaan. If not correct this.
Before cutting choose the letters you want for the name for example L U C A.
Delete or hid the rest of the letters
Cut out the letters from the file ‘letters for name jigsaw’
Close project
NOTE: If the text is not Baloo Bhaijaan and you can't find this on your computer you need to create the letters with the notches. To do this copy and past the letter you want. Select and make a circle of 15mm. Place the circle on the top right of the letter so that it overlaps a little, enough to make a notch. Select both items and unite them. You now have a letter and a letter with a notch for the back plate.
Open the file name jigsaw
Select the letters that are needed for the name ie L U C A. These will have little notches.
Place the letters onto one of the rectangle bases and align them so they are straight (you can use the snap tool) and fit on the base. If need extend the size of the rectangle.
If you do change the rectangle size ensure that you alter the other rectangle to match the measurement. This is essential for the project to work.
Once you are happy that the letters fit on the bases (rectangles) Cut out one complete rectangle (for the back) and one with the letter insets cut out.
Make sure that all other letters you are not using have been hidden.
DO NOT change the size of the letters, on the length or height of the rectangles!
Now is your time to layer the project up so that you are sure the letters and cut outs fit each other.
This should be fine as long as you have not changed the size of the letters.
Once you are happy that they all fit perfectly together paint each part as you wish.
I gave mine a coat of white to start so that the colours were more vivid.
Allow to dry
Once all the parts are dry stick the two rectangles to gether to form the base of the jigsaw. Clamp and allow to dry
Once the glue is dry place the letters into their corresponding holes and the project is finished.
NOTE: You may want to coat in some varnish to protect the paint, this is optional.
