  1. Drag and drop the image into imagr
  2. Drag the “round edge” slide bar all the way to the right and crop the image so just the coin is int it.
  3. Resize the image, I set mine to 2.5 x 2.5 inches. Set the DPI to the known dpi of your laser. I used 423 because that is what my laser spot is when focused properly!
  4. Select> Material> Grayscale > Norton Grayscale
  5. Save as PNG or BMP

Set the layer settings for the image. Very important that we select grayscale and make the line interval match that of the original image!

Proceed to set your focus, frame, and engrave the coin!

Step4: Cut the coin out

Now in your laser software draw a circle the same exact size as your coin and set it to cut 6mm wood. Using the same starting location as when you engraved the coin start the cut program!

Step5: Scrub the coin with soap and water

Now we can use a small amount of soap and a wet brush (i used a toothbrush) and proceed to gently scrub the resin and char off of the coin!

Set aside and allow time to dry.

  1. I like to take it to the next level by spray painting a bright color (i used green), letting it dry, then spray painting black.
  2. Then i will use a scotchbrite to gently remove some of the deep paint then will use 320 grit sandpaper to gently sand the face of the coin to expose the bright underlayment!
  3. Admire your beautiful creation!
  4. Make sure to like and follow, thanks for reading!
