Information
After I downloaded the original XCS file, I found a few vector line issues on the cars and trees. I've corrected them and am reuploading the file. There are 6 canvases, and my settings are for the D1 Pro 10W.

Pretty straightforward project. I condensed the designs down to fit on fewer canvases and to bring one onto the canvas that I almost missed in the original file. The original file was configured for a larger workspace than the D1 Pro.

I don't use 3mm plywood for most of my projects. I've found a source for 3mm solid hardwood that makes the items I cut and engrave standout when compared to plywood. Plywood's top layer tends to chip and crack when doing fine lines, and it doesn't stand up to sanding as well. With hardwood, you can finish the items off with a good furniture wax that will really bring out the grain of the wood.

The settings in the file are for red oak plywood, and I found they were almost perfect for the hardwood I used. I increased the speed from 3 to 4, as the laser tended to char at the slower speed. If you aren't using materials that are found in the XCS material library, I recommend making a test chart with the material you are using before starting on your project.

To put everything together, I cut some extra 1mm pieces for spacers (not included in the design) and used Titebond Original Wood Glue to put it all together.
