This box is made from 3mm black MDF and includes a 'Merry Christmas' design that can be added to the outside to turn the box into a holiday gift box.

Step1: Design
Preview
The main part of the box and lid is made from 3mm material and for the optional Christmas side panels I used 4mm cherry veneered MDF. These parts can be added to all four sides or just ignored to create a plain box

Step2: Cutting
Preview
These settings were used to cut 3mm black MDF but all kinds of 3mm wood should cut perfectly with these settings.

Step3: Assembling
Preview
The main box should slot together easily but will require a little glue in the corners for extra strength.
If you add the Christmas side panels these will need to be glued in place one at a time.
