Themed box with coasters for meetings, not suitable for muggles. ***The box can be used to place a bottle of your favorite drink or to store your coasters.
1. We create a circle that will determine the diameter of our cup holders. and we reproduce this circle as many times as we want to have glass holders, for the purposes of this tutorial there will be 4 units
2. 1 For the box we will start at the top, we take the previous circle and create a second circle that is slightly larger in diameter than the cup holder, since this circle will represent the hole in the box. (see figure identified with N°1 in the image)
2.2 On this circle we are going to create a perfectly aligned hexagon that will represent the external edge of the piece. (see figure identified with N°2 in the image)
2.3 we create 4 equidistant rectangles that must obey in height the measurement of the thickness of our wood, in this case 3mm, we group them and replicate them as many times as our box has faces, in this case 6 times. Next, we placed each group of rectangles perfectly centered on each face of our hexagon and welded to create the tabs that would fit together with the side pieces, giving support and structure to our box without using glue.(see figure identified with N°3 in the image)
2.4 Once the previous step has been completed, we will have finished the upper part of the body of the box (see figure identified with N°4 in the image)
After engraving and cutting all the pieces, we proceed to assemble the side pieces around the base, with patience and care.
Before placing our piece that is going to fix the side walls of the box, we will use it to measure on our lid and we will mark with a pencil the exact place where the circular piece where we engraved doby will be glued, so that it is perfectly aligned at the time of glue our cover
For the lid we will use this circular piece of Doby and the upper part will be the shield, to glue it use tacky glue.
For the coasters: first cut out the circles, paint with gold acrylic spray paint and then engrave them
