This voucher is special because the heart can be closed and the two parts hold together via magnets inside!
Sometimes you have to get creative to make small vouchers for a loved one! I used Sketchup Make to design these hearts and a holder (see step 4). Of course, you can also consider putting the whole thing in a nice box or designing it in a completely different way.
Theoretically, it is also possible to design at least the hearts directly in XTool Creative Space.
My aim was to make each side of the heart in three parts so that I could place two magnets in the middle.
DXF files, for example, can then be exported from Sketchup.
You can now get creative with the engraving. I have only inserted a few text fields in the XCS file. The small black markings in the medium-sized heart on the left are there to either insert a small note (with a voucher code, for example) at the end or to add a text directly in XTool Creative Space.
The whole thing is then engraved and cut using the settings above. don't forget that you could also add images like i did as you can see in the first pictures!
The assembly is pretty straight forward. Three hearts, one small, one medium and one large, are glued on top of each other. However, before the third heart is glued on, the magnets should be placed in the round openings!
ATTENTION: Pay close attention to the orientation of the magnetic poles so that the two heart parts do not repel each other later!
I also designed a rectangle with cutouts where you could put the three final hearts in. You have many possibilities to change the size or the shape of this holder and add additional text to it!
You will also find this rectangle in the XCS-File
Have fun and good luck with the build!
